What is this?

After using the Job Search blog for some time, I found it an easy tool for distributing information. Given that it worked well for me, I thought I would extend the effort to general department information. I hope you find this tool useful.

New Professors Coming for Fall 2012

Great news for the department and for you!

The Dean has recently concluded negotiations to bring two new faculty to the department next fall. Joining us will be Joseph Craig and Edward Hoang.

Of course, this means that the fall schedule (which will be made public soon) will need to change -- so keep an eye out for schedule revisions that will be coming soon.

The first occurred yesterday -- thank you to everyone who came out to see Joseph Craig. The schedule for the next three is below:

  • Katie Player, Tuesday 1/31, 1:30-2:30, 204 Dwire Hall, "The Impact of Personal Income Tax Rates on the Employment Decisions of Small Business"
  • Edward Hoang, Thursday, 2/2, 1:40-2:55, 114 Dwire Hall, "Fiscal Policy, Debt Neutrality, and Savings Behavior: Evidence fro Life Insurance Holdings"

Spring Schedule Change

Bad news and good news (depending on who you are). The good news -- there will be a new section of Econ 2020 on Tues. & Thurs. from 9.25-10.40. The bad news -- Econ 2810 will be cancelled due to low enrollment. We will try again in the fall.

Please let me know if this raises scheduling issues and I will do my best to help.
